Having been part of the DiGeronimo Companies since my first co-op in 2006, I joined Independence Construction full-time after graduating from the University of Cincinnati. My early career focused on large higher education, healthcare and civic projects working with renowned architects such as Foster + Partners, Pelli Clarke & Partners, Farshid Moussavi and James Corner Field Operations.
I have held various roles in preconstruction, having been responsible for nearly $1 billion in GMP development. Serving in a variety of operational roles, in 2019 I started of our Special Projects Group (Cleveland, OH) which focuses on fast-track projects and interior renovations. Concurrently, I established our Self-Perform Carpentry division, vertically integrating our client offerings and insulating our projects from the risk of labor shortages.
In 2023 I moved my family to Jacksonville to start Winter’s Florida operations, covering South Georgia to central Florida.
Having led construction projects for a variety of different clients and building types, I am a firm believer that constant communication is the driving force behind every successful project. I try to instill this outlook in the teams I lead and encourage our clients to share in this approach.
